With Lian Qiao, for various Heat disorders.
With Gan Cao, for toxic swellings and sores.
Fr. Forsythiae Lian Qiao 12g Clears Heat especially in the Upper Jiao, relieves toxicity and reduces abscesses.
Wit Jin Yin Hua, for initial-stage Wind-Heat.
Dry-fried Fr. Arctii Chao Niu Bang Zi 10g Disperses Wind-Heat, relieves toxicity and vents rashes.
Fol. Isatidis Da Qing Ye 10g Clears Heat, resolves Fire toxicity, cools the Blood and dissipates maculae.
With Jin Yin Hua, for Toxic Heat sores, mumps, erysipelas or a sore throat.
With Jin Yin Hua, Niu Bang Zi and Jing Jie, for Exterior Wind-Heat with fever, thirst, irritability and a sore throat or an early-stage febrile disorder.
Rx. Rehmanniae Sheng Di Huang 10g Clears Heat, cools the Blood, nourishes Yin and generates fluids.
Hb. Schizonepetae Jing Jie 6g Releases the Exterior, expels Wind, vents rashes and relieves itching.
With Fang Feng, Jin Yin Hua and Lian Qiao, for Exterior signs and symptoms and early-stage carbuncles, furuncles and abscesses.
With Sheng Di Huang, for epistaxis, hemoptysis and hematemesis.
Rx. Saposhnikoviae Fang Feng 6g Releases the Exterior and expels External Wind.
With Jing Jie, expels Wind and stops itching for pruritic rashes.
Dry-fried Cx. Moutan Chao Mu Dan Pi 6g Clears Heat, cools and harmonizes the Blood, clears Deficiency Fire, drains pus and reduces swelling.
With Sheng Di HUang, for residual Warm pathogen which has injured the Yin.
Rx. Glycyrrhizae Gan Cao 6g Clears Heat, relieves Fire toxicity, moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs and guides the herbs to all twelve channels.
With Jin Yin Hua, for Damp rashes or acne.
With Niu Bang Zi, strongly clears the throat and Lungs to treat Wind-Heat attacks the Lungs or Fire toxin flaring upwards.
